I’ve been running the SVN trunk version of WordPress for some time now. It’s fun to get a sneak peak at new features shaping the next release of WordPress.

Last night I updated and was very pleased to see the team as integrated the CodePress editor into wp-admin. The addition of CodePress will give us line numbering and syntax highlighting for HTML, CSS, and PHP. Try it out for yourself by checking out the SVN trunk version of WordPress or just stare at these screenshots for now.

You can get CodePress functionality in WordPress 2.7 and earlier by installing the wp-codepress plugin found at
